The goal of the workshop is to review the state of the art in space-based remote sensing of carbon dioxide, methane, and other greenhouse gases and related products, including:

  • Results from current missions
  • Results expected from future missions
  • Retrieval algorithms and uncertainty quantification
  • Methods for inter-instrument and product Cal/Val, and associated bias correction techniques
  • Observations to quantify hot spots and local/urban emissions
  • Flux estimates and atmospheric inversions from space-based GHG measurements
  • Towards an international space-based GHG emission monitoring system
  • Stakeholder Needs and Engagement for the Global Stocktake
